LACMA -- There is always a lot to see at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, but you may not know about it.

LACMA is a large campus of seven museum buildings with an amazing artistic outdoor space. It is a place where anyone can enjoy their weekends with family members and friends.

The first thing you should see, are The Urban Lights located in the entrance of Wilshire Blvd. This wonderful piece is made up of 202 cast iron street lamps, all of which once stood on LA streets. The Urban Lights have become an iconic part of Los Angeles. They are particularly stunning at sunset or at night.

Enjoy your walk around the broad plaza toward 6th Street. You will find the Levitated Mass, an impressive 150 million year old granite rock with more than 21 feet high and weighing in at 340 tons. In fact, the transportation of the rock took ten whole days from Stone Valley Quarry in Riverside to the 6th street entrance of LACMA. Don’t hesitate to take as many pictures as you want.

But what's on the inside? LACMA has a little of everything. It includes Asian art, Latin American art, and pre-Columbian masterpieces leading to modern and contemporary artists.  LACMA is a museum of international stature. It has become one of the best museums in Los Angeles.
