Four Navy Seals. One Survivor.

Lone Survivor tells a true story based on a Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell and his brothers, who were sent on a dangerous mission 'Operation Red Wings' in Afghanistan that quickly went awry. The actual beginning of the film consists of real footage of the insanely difficult training SEALs undergo. If there's one movie that perfectly shows what the Navy SEALs are, and what they stand for, and fight

for, it's Lone Survivor. This movie shows exactly what these individuals go through, the extremely training that they experience before their acceptance into the SEAL team. Marcus Luttrell was played by a very successful actor, Mark Wahlberg. He did a fantastic job in this movie. Taylor Kitsch portrayed Michael P. Murphy. This movie has one of the most intense, non-stop battle sequences.

The goal of Operation Red Wings is to eliminate an infamous Taliban leader, Ahmad Shah. The four soldiers were discovered by the shepherds on the enemy territory. They may not be aligned with the Taliban. They had to decide whether to execute their captives and continue their stealth operation or release them and risk being surrounded by numerically superior forces. The four soldiers eventually decided to let the shepherds free. When the Taliban confronts the SEALs, the bullets begin to fly. The film's final act balances the monstrous Taliban with the Pashtun villagers, who provide assistance to Luttrell, out of their ancient code of honor and current hatred of the Taliban. As the titles says, only one man survives in this film. Lone Survivor was a well made movie. The audience enjoyed it a lot and would mostly like to watch it again. The soldiers that were portrayed in this film would most likely appreciate been honored. I encourage you to watch this movie, because it’s a very acclaimed movie. On a scale from 1-10, I rate it a 10.
